Welcome to The Haven Group at eXp Realty. I'm Kat Massetti, I am the Founder and Principle Realtor and I am happy that you're here. I have been selling real estate now full-time for the last four years. And in that short amount of time, I have actually helped over a hundred families into their homes and sold $75 million in real estate. I didn't always have my start in real estate. This journey actually started way before that. Four years ago, I started my career as a pharmacist, I was a retail pharmacist. I worked at CVS Walgreens, Kaiser, you name it. And I got to six years into pharmacy and I got to the level of pharmacy supervisor. I was supervising 30 people, 10 pharmacists and 20 technicians. And I was running a shop that was doing 1100 prescriptions a day.
We were extremely high volume, but you know, that just wasn't my passion. I got into pharmacy because I did love to help people and ultimately that is not really how that turned out. It ended up becoming much more about corporate metrics and how quickly you could get a prescription out. That's really not what I got into pharmacy for. It was more to, like I said, help people. When I got somewhat burnt out by that and I was looking at what else could I do out there that would help me find a passion in life and also help me fulfill my desire to truly help another person. I fell into real estate! I was talking to my husband and he said, Hey, uh, you love HGTV. You'll love Zillow. Why don't you get your real estate license?
You know, if it was only that easy, then you could just scroll on houses on HGTV and, you know, look at houses on Zillow and ta da you’re a real estate agent. That would be amazing. But that actually just turned me on to the thought of real estate because I did love HGTV and I did love Zillow. Why not combine that passion with helping people? And that's how I ended up getting my real estate license without any sales experience. I joined a team and two days after I got licensed, I actually met my first client and got my first contract. And even my team lead looked at me at that time and said, you know, I thought you were going to be good, but I didn't know you're going to be this good. I just found this passion! And I really discovered something that truly made me feel fulfilled.
I was able to help somebody through the process of one of the biggest life decisions that you're going to make and one of the biggest of financial investments that you're ever going to make. To me, that's where the magic really happened. I sold my first house and kept rolling, and then, like I said, 150 homes later, 150 families helped later, $75 million later, I am still passionate about it. I love it. This is what I sleep, eat, breathe, do is real estate and helping people through that. After two years of being on my prior team, I, , had helped 60 families by that point in two years and I really felt like there was more that I could help people with. I loved my team, but at the same time, I felt like I had another path I had to follow. I started the Haven Group at eXp Realty.
This is my own team. It's my baby and it is something that I started in 2020. I am now a hundred percent referral based. What that means is I take absolutely pride in helping every single one of my clients through their real estate transaction. Because if I do a good job for you, you're going to tell your family, you're going to tell your neighbors. You're going to tell anybody that you meet about me. One of the things that I truly love is to give 150% to each of my clients. Our tagline is, “empowering moves one home at a time”. And I truly feel that because number one, what the Haven group stands for is educating, transparency and also giving you that special service one home at a time. I don't ever want my clients to feel like they are one in a hundred.
I want each client to understand that I will give my a 100% dedication to their transaction and to their sale. Because at the end of the day, it's not a number for me. It's not a completing the sale. It's more the experience of going through a big life change. Most people don't move on the whim of it. They move because there is something happening: have a baby, they get married, there’s a new job. Accompanying that huge life change usually also accompanies a move. What we stand for at The Haven Group is to help you through that process: that you feel like you're very well taken care of and that you don't ever have to stress about the move because you have many other things going on in life.
