Sometimes you have to travel to see your friends. ✨

I’m so grateful I took that first trip to Aruba with these Elevate ladies two years ago. It was the first time I had stepped away from my family and my business in a long time, and honestly, it pushed me way outside my comfort zone. Traveling to another country for a retreat where I didn’t know a single person felt big at the time.

What I didn’t realize then was that I was about to meet some of my closest friends. Coming from different parts of the country and completely different real estate markets, we’ve built friendships that run deep. We can go months without seeing each other or even talking regularly, but when we’re together, it feels like no time has passed at all.

If you’ve been hesitating to take that trip, say yes anyway. Stepping outside your comfort zone might just lead you to the people and experiences you didn’t even know you were missing.

Here for a few more weeks, Celebrating Korean Treasures exhibition is beautiful and worth the visit. Centuries of ceramics, paintings, and objects that tell the story of Korean culture, craftsmanship, and tradition. Thoughtful, detailed, and incredibly moving to experience up close.

I have to remind myself of this often: don’t compare someone else’s day 3,628 to your day one. What you’re seeing is the result of years of effort, lessons learned, and quiet work behind the scenes. Everyone’s path unfolds on its own timeline, and progress doesn’t always look loud or linear.

A good friend once shared with me something I think about often: “Comparison is the thief of joy.” - President Theodore Roosevelt

This was my biggest year of professional and personal growth, and it happened when I became laser focused and drowned out the noise. I stopped comparing, protected my energy, and stayed committed.

Showing up today, taking the next right step, and staying committed to your own journey is what actually matters.

We met on a study abroad trip and nothing romantic happened but as we were all saying goodbye, a little voice popped in my head, “you’re going to marry that guy someday.” Like any other 20 year old, I thought that was weird and went about my life.

A few years later, that little voice turned out to be right.
